In many cases, the bathroom mirror will be purchased with the bathroom cabinet, but there are also many owners who like to buy it separately and match it with personality. So, how to buy a bathroom mirror? In general, the size of the bathroom mirror is 500-600 mm, and the thickness is preferably 8 mm. In addition, we also need to pay attention to the material, quality, and structure of the mirror.

1. Shape

There are many shapes of bathroom mirrors, the most common ones are square bathroom mirrors, rectangular bathroom mirrors, round bathroom mirrors, and oval bathroom mirrors. And according to the different styles of home decoration, you can also choose different styles of mirrors.

2. Material

Bathroom mirrors are mainly divided into anti-fog mirrors and ordinary mirrors. Anti-fog mirrors are divided into coated anti-fog mirrors and electric anti-fog mirrors. Coated anti-fog mirrors are mirrors that prevent the formation of a fog layer through the micro-holes in the coating; while electric anti-fog mirrors are electrically heated, let the temperature of the mirror surface increase, so that the mist quickly evaporates, and the mist layer cannot be formed.

3. Installation method

Bathroom mirrors are generally divided into three types, flat mirrors, decorative mirrors, and cabinet mirrors, these three types of mirrors have different installation methods.

The installation of the flat mirror is the easiest. Just stick the mirror on the tile, but now many people will add four decorative nails to the four corners of the mirror for more safety, which is also more secure. Decorative mirrors add various elements to the mirrors to make them more beautiful. Some mirrors are irregularly shaped and will have lights and glass partitions.

4. Function

The water vapor from the bath in the bathroom always casts a mist on the mirror, making the mirror useless. Therefore, high-quality bathroom mirrors generally have functions such as anti-fog and waterproof.

1- Anti-fog

According to the principle of anti-fog, bathroom mirrors can be divided into coated anti-fog mirrors and electric anti-fog mirrors.

Coated anti-fog mirrors prevent the formation of a fog layer through the micropores in the coating, which is safer but more expensive. The electric anti-fog mirror is to heat the mirror surface by the electric heating wire or the electric heating film, so as to achieve the anti-fog effect. Electric anti-fog mirrors are more primitive, heavy, require power, and must leave space on the opposite side of the mirror, but they are cheaper.

2. Waterproof

When choosing a bathroom mirror, not only should you choose an anti-fog bathroom mirror, but also pay special attention to the water-resistance of the bathroom mirror.

The general waterproof bathroom mirror is coated with special waterproof material on the back. Installing this bathroom mirror in the bathroom will effectively avoid the growth of mold in the gaps on the back of the bathroom mirror, cracking of the mirror surface, and even the entire mirror falling off. The falling off of the bathroom mirror will inevitably cause dangers and should be treated with caution. The homeowner must pay attention to its waterproof safety when buying. It is best to use it before buying to see whether it is waterproof. Don’t just look for cheap or good-looking, and wrongly bought a low-quality, unsafe bathroom mirror.

When buying a bathroom mirror, people may pay more attention to the matching of the bathroom mirror and the bathroom. There are many kinds of bathroom mirrors, and the price of the mirror will vary according to its brand, material, and shape.
