The bathroom is one of the special places in each family, and its frequency of use is relatively high. In fact, for consumers who pay attention to the quality of life, choosing a suitable bathtub will bring more comfort and relaxation to life. The bathtub is a bathroom facility that attracts people’s attention. After working for a day, returning home to take a bath and relax is the choice of many office workers. There are many types of bathtubs.

According to the material, bathtubs can be divided into ceramic bathtubs, cultured marble bathtubs, acrylic bathtubs, fiberglass bathtubs, cast iron bathtubs, enameled steel bathtubs, wood bathtubs, etc. At present, there are mainly four types of bathtubs that are used more often, which are acrylic bathtubs, enameled steel bathtubs, cast iron bathtubs, and wood bathtubs.

1. The acrylic bathtub

Acrylic bathtubs are a kind of bathtubs that are used more frequently at present. Acrylic bathtubs have uniform color and smooth surface without delamination and bubbles. The heat transfer of the acrylic bathtub is very slow, so the thermal insulation effect of the acrylic bathtub is good. Even in the cold winter, the skin will not feel the “icy” feeling when the skin touches the surface of the acrylic bathtub. The collision between the human body and the acrylic bathtub generally does not hurt the body. Acrylic bathtubs have poor pressure resistance, so the surface is easily scratched by some small hard objects, and it is easy to yellow and aging after long use.

2. The enameled steel bathtub

The steel is the traditional material for making bathtubs. The surface of the enameled steel bathtub is enamel and the inside is a steel plate. It has the characteristics of wear resistance, heat resistance, and pressure resistance. The weight is between the cast iron bathtub and the acrylic bathtub, the thermal insulation effect is lower than the cast iron bathtub, but the service life is long. In addition, the surface of this bathtub is not prone to dirt, and will not change color after a period of use.

3. The cast iron bathtub

This type of bathtub is made of cast iron, and its surface is covered with enamel, so the weight is relatively large, and it is not easy to produce noise during use. Due to the complicated casting process, the cast iron bathtub is generally simple in shape, but the price is very expensive. The cast iron bathtub has a good thermal insulation effect. The surface of the cast iron bathtub has a good gloss, the color is warm and lustrous, and the cast iron bathtub is resistant to dirt, easy to clean, and has a long service life; however, the color and shape of the cast iron bathtub will be limited by the process. The weight of the cast iron bathtub is not suitable for handling and installation.

4. The wood bathtub

Wood bathtubs are often made of hard, dense, and anti-corrosive materials, such as spruce, oak, pine, cypress, etc. The wood bathtub has good thermal insulation performance. It is usually no problem for people to take a bath for 2 hours. In addition to giving a refreshing feeling, the wood bathtub also has the advantages of easy cleaning, no static electricity, and environmental protection. Some wood bathtubs also have a natural fragrance, but the decorative function is poor when used at home. After bathing, it can be cleaned with clean water. The daily maintenance is simple. The wood bathtub likes to be wet and afraid of drying. The wood bathtub is easy to crack when it is dry for a long time, so if it is not used for a long time, put some water in the bathtub. The price of wood bathtub is relatively high.

In fact, the bathtub is far more comfortable than the shower. Therefore, it is not surprising that many consumers choose bathtubs when they are decorating the bathroom. When you choose a bathtub, you can choose the material of the bathtub according to your preferences.
